Running Orders
Race Results
The spreadsheet will show your first run's time, second run's time and a combined time. The combined time is used to place skiers for the event. If you see DSQ--that means that you were disqualified for not passing all of the gates in the proper order and DNF--means that a skier crashed and lost a ski or more than one piece of equipment or did not finish for some reason. Do not get worried if you finished towards or at the bottom of the division ranking, each skier is at a different skill level and should be looking for improvement over time versus a win early on.
Many great ski racers, never win an event---our sport is about beating the clock and being faster each time you are challenged by a new course.

Additional Training----Why?
Our area has several Junior Development Teams and they are a great way to help your skier to become a better overall skier and get them off to a great start ski racing. A JDT team will expose them to a variety of skiing situations that will help them become great skiers. A typical JDT program practices twice on the weekends and may offer additional training times during the week. The teams in our area offer their skiers five or six races to choose from over the course of a ski season.
If you are looking for information on a JDT to ski with be sure to check the websites at Bittersweet, Timber Ridge, Cannonsburg or Caberfae.
